Project Overview
The Business Suite is a wellbeing-focused module in the Healy app, designed to support holistic success for Independent Healy World Members. This B2B tool empowers users with insights and resources to elevate their professional and personal wellness while attaining their business goals.
Objective
Design a purposeful, user-centered app module that helps Healy stakeholders better understand, manage, and apply wellness strategies in their business journeys.
Research & Discovery
Approach
We conducted a mix of stakeholder interviews, user surveys, and competitor analysis to gain insights into user behavior, pain points, and expectations.

User Interviews Summary
We spoke to 8 stakeholders within the Healy network to understand their workflow, needs, and aspirations for the business suite.

Key Pain Points Identified
-
Overwhelm with current tools: Users found existing platforms visually dense and difficult to navigate.
-
Missing guidance: Users wanted more hand-holding and onboarding support when accessing new wellness resources within the app.
-
Low clarity on data structure: There was confusion around how user and business data was stored, accessed, or visualized.

Design Solution
Approach
In order to effectively tackle key areas in the module, we had to break down the project into 3 phases; designing of icons for database recognition, creation of custom illustrations to drive compelling storytelling and development of prototypes to demonstrate how all elements will exist in the program. However, this project, fun as it was, came with its own huddles.
Challenges Faced
-
Balancing wellness with business needs: Striking the right tone between professional utility and emotional design.
-
Illustration style: Creating the right illustrations that would adhere to brand guidelines without being too "cartoony".
-
Simplifying without oversimplifying: Reducing friction in user flows without dumbing down core functionality.

Phase 1 - Database iconography:
-
Goal: Create a custom database icon that reflects clarity, connectivity, and professionalism.
-
Approach: I explored several concepts, iterated ideas based on feedback, and refined the final icon based on Healy’s visual language.
-
Outcome: A clean, modern icon that aligns with the suite’s tone and enhances feature recognition.

Phase 2 - Creation of Database Illustrations:
-
Goal: Develop a set of cohesive illustrations that complement the icons and visually communicate key database concepts.
-
Approach: I focused on simplicity, accessibility, and brand alignment. Each illustration was designed to support storytelling and feature education.
-
Outcome: A library of scalable, theme-consistent visuals used across the app experience.
Here, the illustrations where broken down into 3 categories: -
The Feature screen set
-
The Business Personalities set

Phase 3 - Screen Layout & Prototyping
-
Developed interactive prototypes in Figma for usability testing.
-
Focused on accessibility, clarity, and ease of use.
-
Result: A sleek, responsive layout tested and validated by users before development.

Outcomes & Impact
-
Increased feature clarity and user engagement
-
Enhanced trust in the tool through visual consistency
-
Positive stakeholder reception and buy-in for future modules
Key Learnings
-
Visual storytelling is a powerful bridge between data and emotion.
-
User feedback is invaluable—early validation prevents costly redesigns.
-
Wellness design requires more than aesthetics—it demands empathy and strategic clarity.

Illustrations
& Motion
In addition to the Business Suite project, I also had the pleasure of developing key illustrations for two new modules: Essential Oils and Plant Power Database.
I had the delight of testing out new tools like Rive for the motion design which I found quite thrilling.
Below are examples of motion graphics for both mobile and web interfaces.
Tools: Adobe Illustrator / After Effects / Rive

Essential Oils / Plant Power Database
Illustration and Motion design
These new modules were designed to add a dynamic layer to the Healy app experience. I developed purposeful key illustrations and subtle motion for the onboarding screens.
The goal was to enrich storytelling, guide user attention, and create a more emotionally engaging interface.
